The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

Get your glad rags on and grab your favourite people to make this a true Ivy night to remember, featuring a bespoke set menu and dazzling entertainment. Enjoy three-courses with a glass of Champagne for £110 per person. Should your plans change, please ensure you give us a notice of cancellation by the 29th of December at the latest to avoid losing your deposit. Any bookings after 7pm are entitled for one night only access to the Ivy Member Club subject to availability.Please check with Reception for a pass to enjoy live music and entertainment till late.Menus and Prices are subject to change.

    All three courses were superb… a massive step up on Ivy Brasserie which we’ve all become so familiar with. The house champagne wasn’t great at £94 but a £55 beaujolais was excellent value. Lovely evening.

    Lovely dinning experience for my sons birthday. Waiter service was impeccable, very professional and friendly. Felt we had privacy in the seating layout but could still be part of the atmosphere. Food was delicious. Front desk a bit chaotic and a bottle neck for customers coming and going. This wasn’t the best first impression. Staff however were very polite. Toilets need a bit of TLC looked a bit tired and toilet doors had dirty finger marks on them. Easy to fix.

    The food was excellent and the waiter was really good BUT (i) we had booked for 6.30 and our table was not ready at that time and we had to wait a good 20 minutes before being seated, (ii) the restaurant was busy and it took a long time for the food to arrive, and then (iii) a manager came and told us that we would not have time for coffee after our desert because we "would not have time". We felt we were being hustled out of the restaurant, even though any time shortage relating to the booking was entirely the restaurant's fault. We will go again to this restaurant, but their behaviour rather spoiled the end part of what was actually a very good meal.

    The receptionist (who looked like the head because was telling the others what to do) was not very pleasant. For a place where you spend an average of £300 for a dinner, I would expect to at least have a welcoming experience. The starters took 40min to arrive but I was not even bothered because the waiter was amazing but we were genuinely surprised that the first thing that you experience is someone looking at you in a bad way and talking to you like she doing you a favour. It would be fantastic if someone could have a conversation with her and explain that customers go there to spend money and that she’s supposed to provide the service customers expect her to provide
