Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. This New American fine dining experience is not to be missed. The Lakehouse can now be reached by boat as well, as guest dockage is available at the new gorgeous bayside locale.

    Beautiful restaurant very nice view overlooking the bay beautiful food presentation, quality ,and excellent pairings& combinations ….very impressive job done by the chef, wait staff extremely well dressed, courteous and always checking on you and yet not rushing you . I am looking forward to coming back again ,absolutely love this restaurant!!!!

    Very disappointing food. Service was awful. Most tables around us also left half their meal on their plate. Bartenders were great but servers in the dining room were miserable and non existent. Removed empty glasses but never asked if we wanted another drink or refilled the water glasses. Left the plates of half eaten food for well over 30 mins. The only thing that came swiftly was the check. Food was extremely salty and felt very commercial. One and done - so many better establishments

Many of our guests choose to take home leftovers, so they can leave room for our delicious desserts!     I have been a fan of the Lake House since it first opened…..in the old location! Our last experience was less than stellar. The menu selection was wonderful & the winter prix fixe menu appealing! I anticipated the wonderful scallops that I usually order but the ratatouille accompaniement was a huge disappointment…..it was loaded with black olives which is one of very few vegetable that I can’t stand & there was no mention of olives on the menu. Biggest shocker was watching our waiter offer a second glass of wine to people sitting next to us. He served their new glasses of red wine & proceeded to pour the remainder of their first glasses into the new ones! Who does that?? Perhaps the waitstaff need further training!! This restaurant used to be fine dining……not so anymore.

    I don’t know if there is a new owner or not but I was shocked at how bad this place has become. I have been here numerous times in the past and the food was always excellent. This time the food and the ambience were atrocious. I ordered a $75 dollar medium rare steak that was supposed to be wagyu - it probably wasn’t but still it shouldn’t have came out over cooked and tasteless. The large dining room was sparsely decorated and looked like a high school cafeteria. I was very disappointed to say the least.

    Cult cooked. This restaurant great place to celebrate any occasion. The chef is very versatile and talented. Everything we ordered was very fresh and the flavors were refreshingly different. Our waiter was very professional yet showed a lot of personality. He made great meal recommendations.
