Fuimos para la cena de fin de año. Nos atendió Juan, un mozo argentino, que sabía muchísimo y nos explicaba y sugería todo con mucha clase. La comida estuvo espectacular y el lugar es muy agradable con música en vivo. Muy recomendable.

My friend and I dined at this restaurant for New Year’s Eve. As Europeans, we are accustomed to comparatively higher culinary standards at lower prices, and Italian food in Europe tends to be more authentic than what’s typically available in the U.S. That said, in the context of New York City’s dining scene, we’ve had equivalent food at significantly lower prices. To be clear, the food here is very good /excellent and of high quality. However, the extremely high price point ($500 for two) doesn’t align with the overall experience. While the service was nice and friendly, it fell short of the excellence you would expect at this price level. In summary, while the meal was enjoyable, we felt the cost didn’t quite justify the quality or service provided.

Picked it out of a local hat. Had a great time all around. Quite classy. Fish was very nice. Service was a bit too attentive. Table was a bit small. 3 people at least were constantly taking turns doing something at our table, maybe 4. Could be the other way around right so no biggie. A bit pricey, but I do recommend this place.

The menu choices here are always fascinating and delectable. But the best feature of des Artistes is it's ambiance---blessedly quiet compared to most top flight NYC restaurants. And the wall murals reflect an age long gone from this neighborhood.

Went there to meet a date, and couldn’t have made a better impression if I tried. Ambiance of the place is beautiful, and the level of hospitality from everyone at the venue is top-notch. Cherry on top of the night (besides all of the food, which was delicious) is that I got a chance to meet and shake hands with an A lister (household name in comedy), who the staff told me was a regular. Would definitely go back.
