We've combined the essence of historic downtown Wallingford with exquisite cuisine, along with a worldwide wine selection to bring you Wallingford's most unique dining experience.

The Library Wine Bar and Bistro is Wallingford's original town library. Built in 1899, it was passionately and lovingly restored back to its classic, architectural beauty in 2014.

Lovely dinner at the Library lat night. Service was great, food and drinks fantastic! We had a corner table so the noise level was not an issue. We will definitely be back as the prices were fair and the experience was quite memorable. Ps. My mom was a librarian for over 25 years so it was extra special to have that as a venue.

The Wine Bar & Bistro is a beautiful venue! The food, the drink and the wine list, the staff, the ambiance are all awesome. This is a great place for so many events! The owner is very knowledgeable, personable, and helpful.

The food was fabulous and our server was attentive. We went during QU Parents weekend and there was a Halloween event happening along the Main Street. It was crowded. The food took longer to arrive than expected but it was worth the wait!

Food was prepared perfectly. Server was very attentive and used great caution for an allergy concern. We really enjoyed our night out. Only negative was the noise level but we were told it was a family night at Choate, a local school, and they were booked up with reservations. It was very crowded.

Love the location and ambience. Great bar area w good cocktails, wines. Meal started off great. Fabulous calamari and charcuteries was one of best ever had. Initial contact with server was good. That’s when things changed. Our server didn’t check in for 20 minutes and our entrees were delayed. Some of our food was great and some was just ok. Recommend chicken Parmesan and filet. Pasta rigatoni was undercooked. They were very busy so that might be why issue with delays on entree and servers attention. Will still go back. It’s usually quite special

Always a nice time at The Library. First time sitting upstairs…it was nice. Our waitress and server did an excellent job handling the stairs.
