The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard. Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & the Tyne is open 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The pub offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.
We are dog and children friendly pub. Our cosy lounge area is dedicated for the guests with the dogs and little ones - please let us know prior your booking so we can accomodate you accordingly.

    Xmas dinner was fantastic as were the staff. But ruined by a dark curly haired waiter( no name ) who was very rude and made us feel very unwelcome So many times we have dined here with no problem But this guy needs a stern word

    Plenty of delicious choices on the menu; all those we chose were extremely tasty and more than came up to expectations. This was our second visit here after a very good experience earlier in the year and we were certainly not disappointed. Everything, including the warm welcome and friendly, knowledgeable service and of course the superb food and drink was excellent and we can’t wait to return! A perfect way to start our Christmas celebrations.

    Had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner , restaurant looked great and the service was spot on - not a big menu selection for main course but the courses there was plenty to chose from. Staff were super and really helpful

    What a wonderful Sunday lunch. Pork belly and Beef Wellington were equally divine. Our daughter's rated the hash browns as the " best ever" and rated the children's menu options highly .The Christmas pudding was delicious according to my husband and the trifle I had contained the best custard I ever tasted. Overall beautifully presented food, attentive service and a laid back, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely recommend to our friends and return soon. Thank you for the birthday card too, which was a lovely touch.

    We had the 3 course Sunday lunch and it was faultless. Starters of beef tartare and goats cheese were delicious, the whole plaice on the bone was the best I've ever tasted and my husband's pork was "meltingly good". We then had the trifle and the sticky toffee pudding. The staff are friendly and attentive and we will be back in 2025 !
