The Log Cabin is an upscale restaurant specializing in fine farm-to-table cuisine, specialty cocktails and wines. The historic structure dates back more than 100 years and was once used as a Speakeasy before opening officially as a restaurant in 1933, after the Repeal of Prohibition. Since then, the Log Cabin has become a Lancaster County tradition, playing host to countless birthdays, anniversaries, business events and celebrations of all kinds.

For groups of 8 or more people, please contact the restaurant to discuss personalized seating and menu options.

    Join us for a special night in celebration of the 21st Amendment to the US Constitution, ratified on December 5th 1933, which repealed the 18th amendment and brought an end to the era of national prohibition of alcohol. The Log Cabin originally operated as a speakeasy and only opened officially as a restaurant at the end of 1933. It is now an annual tradition at The Log Cabin to celebrate the repeal of prohibition on December 5th, with servers dressed in prohibition-era attire and a large buffet dinner prepared by Chef Painter. This is a ticketed event. Guests are encouraged to arrive between 5:00 and 6:00pm

    For the holiday season, we are hosting a Premium Wine Tasting at 5pm and 7pm on Wednesday 12/4. Each 2-hour tasting features a careful selection of 5 Champagne & Sparkling Wines. Guests will have the opportunity to taste all 5 wines and buy bottles at a discounted rate. The restaurant remains open for regular dinner service! Please select a time other than 5pm or 7pm if you are not interested in attending the Wine Tasting this month.

    Join us in the Piano Lounge 6:00pm to 9:30pm every Friday & Saturday night for live music from some of Lancaster County’s best musicians! Enjoy a drink, dessert or small-plate while listening to a mix of Blues, Jazz and American Classics. Walk-ins are welcome! And guests with dinner reservations should feel free to arrive early or stay late to enjoy the music. No cover charge. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    We were a party of 6 with 6 PM reservations dining at the Log Cabin for the first time. The building is absolutely beautiful with period correct furnishings and artwork. Our party was seated in one of the upstairs dining rooms at a round table for 6 in a cozy corner. Excellent location because we did a bit loud at times. Service was timely and attentive. Each appetizer, soup, salad and entree were prepared as ordered and delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a special intimate dinner or large business group and anything in between.

    This is one of the most elegant yet interesting places to dine. The old log cabin feel is preserved but updated carefully. It has various rooms with artwork, a bar, and even a speakeasy. It opened in the 1920’s, and it still presents its history without sacrificing modern dining. The food and drinks were excellent and the service outstanding.

    From start to finish, this was an amazing experience. The food, drinks and waitress were absolutely amazing. We will be coming back.

    The Log Cabin is a secluded yet welcoming culinary delight! The warmth and charm felt like a hug! Our server, Lauren, was engaging, informative, and clearly an asset. The menu was creative and interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners - blackened salmon Oscar and the free range chicken breast - prepared to perfection. Sincere thanks to the staff for a great dining experience.

    It’s tradition. We get it. But, way too expensive for the portions and quality of our meals. In addition , the wine list is outrageous. Our server was overwhelmed. After many years of dining at the LG. We will not be back….
