Since 1932, the Majestic has been a fixture on King Street in Old Town Alexandria. Step inside and you'll feel like you've taken a trip to yesteryear. There's jazz in the air and cocktail shakers at the bar, famous for its selection of unique whiskies and spirits. I don’t expect a banner welcome, but at least a friendly demeanor. Not so the hostess who had on a grumpy face. The person who took our order is seen walking about but at times forgot about us, never bringing our drinks or refilling our water until we flagged them down. The food for the price is mediocre and on the side of salty. Our first time dining at The Majestic, and most likely the last.

This place is so great that after stopping in for a snack and drinks, we decided to go back for dinner the next night. We had a wonderful dinner. The ambiance is great and the food is extremely creative but still excellent and tasty (not too "way out"). Courtney, our server made the occasion even more special. She was friendly without being intrusive. She was both fun and friendly while also being extremely competent as a server. Request her if she's there when you go.

Not our first time here, but the last for a while. Inattentive and slow service negatively offset the delicious food that arrived 45 minutes after we ordered. Zero effort by the staff to proactively explain or compensate.

Had not been to The Majestic in a while so decided to have dinner with a friend. It was crowded and noisy. The mini was excellent, I really liked the $49 bite, starter, salad, entree option. The courses were great with the exception of the burrata starter which was cloyingly sweet. It needed balance between the savory and sweet. Service was excellent. I will return.

The staff was warm and welcoming. Juan was very attentive and friendly. Can’t say enough about the decor, theme, and quality of food.

Amazing! The staff were all super nice and friendly and the food was out of this world delicious!! Great for a fancy birthday or any special occasion!

Good food but octopus was limited as too many potatoes. good burger, excellent drinks and creme brules was very good. Would visit again

It was our first time at Majestic and we stopped by for brunch with relatives who were in town for the day. I really like the look and vibe of the place. Super comfy and the staff were accommodating for our party of five. The service was timely and friendly. The kale and apple salad was great and the grilled shrimp was thankfully not over salted. The Salmon Benedicts and the Brunch Burger got rave reviews. The only shortfall was the Chicken Piccata, with the chicken being overdone outside and dry inside, even though the grits and cabbage alongside were themselves great. I really like the choice of juices to make Mimosas and choices of sparkling wines was broad enough to satisfy a wide range of tastes. We look forward to trying this place out again soon.
