Silo Falls is a Historic Mansion located on 40 acres of rural land in Montgomery County, MD. The Mansion includes a full service kitchen & bar.
Within the Mansion there is a Grand Ballroom for Weddings & large events as well as a number of private rooms for dining or smaller events. The breathtaking property features a large lake, farm silo & many areas for beautiful photography.

Very unfortunate experience on Christmas Eve. It took 20 minutes for someone to stop by our table to pour WATER in our glasses, as we watched tables sat after us get their cocktails. By 6:30, they were out of the peppermint martini, pork special appetizer and the petit filet. Drinks were strong (thank God), and the service was clunky. They sat us at an oversized table in the loud and unfestive banquet room. Entrees were underwhelming. I ordered the 18oz Ribeye ($48) and was served two round steaks instead. Extremely disappointed.

We were disappointed. By 7pm they were out of two entrees. We had to ask for bread. When it came it was cold and hard. The meals were not served at the same time. The restaurant seemed totally unprepared for a holiday dinner

Coming Christmas Eve we expected a festive dining experience and from the moment we sat down we were disappointed. We were seated in the banquet room (blank walls and no character - felt like we were awkwardly in the middle of the room). The chairs were uncomfortable and it took almost an hour for us to get our appetizers. The beet salad was missing dressing but we were so hungry we at anyways. Then after 1.5 hours in the restaurant we were told the chicken cacciatore was sold out and my husband had to pick another meal which arrived 15 mins after the rest of our main courses. He took his to go. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed but very kind and did her best to help us enjoy the evening. We have really enjoyed the restaurant before but it’s unlikely we will return.

Food was good but service was terrible. The one table was very wobbly and kept moving the whole time we were there. When our Dad was trying to cut his ribeye steak, the drinks were spilling and the whole table was shaking. We were actually worried that something happened to our waitress because she took our dessert orders, and then we never saw her again for the rest of the evening at any of her tables. After waiting almost 50 minutes for desserts to arrive and checking with another waitress a couple of times, we gave up on it, paid our check (brought by another waitress) and left. Very sad because we chose Silo Falls to celebrate our Dad’s 77th birthday after previous great experiences there. Very disappointing evening considering hearing good things about this place. Will not be returning

Our group lunch was absolutely delightful and delicious! We were very pleased with the excellent service we received from Emmanuel and the rest of the Silo Falls staff.

This was the worst experience I’ve had at this restaurant. And 90% was because of the waitress. She wasn’t attentive, she acted like she didn’t want to be there and annoyed when we asked questions or asked for mustard and when I sent my French Fries back because they were cold. I had asked for HOT fries when I ordered and said I would send them back if they weren’t. Also the Burgers and Brew special was disappointing and somewhat misleading, we thought there would be a choice of different burgers but it was just a cheeseburger and if you wanted extras you had to pay for them. And it was for my husband’s birthday which I had said in 2 places when I made the reservation on Open Table and not a mention was made about it. I was very frustrated by the entire experience, very disappointing!

We went early, 5:30 pm on a Saturday, and scored a lovely table by the fireplace. Wait staff were attentive, food was great! We started with crab bisque, and went on to dinner salads. Too full for dessert, so finished off with cappuccinos. Lovely evening, highly recommend!

At first, I was impressed with the feel of the place. But then we were seated in a cold, empty dining room (we could have asked to move, but it was late and we were hungry and it was our first time there, and there was a large private party going on that seemed to demand a lot of attention.) The French onion soup was cold as was the burger. We sent the soup back to spend a bit more time in the oven. Service was sometimes slow, but friendly. We will give it another go.
