    Always a very good experience. The service was great including a special amendment to a dinner due to an allergy. The food was great. The lasagna in a skillet was delicious We will be back

    We'd never eaten hear before, coming for a friends birthday. Our 1st impression was not a good one. We waited several minutes before we were able to flag someone down in order to place a drink order. We were never sure if we had an actual waiter assigned to us because we had to reach out again asking for additional service from someone else walking by. It was a busy night, but we felt the service should have been better. The food was very good, pricing fair, with the exception of the lasagna, which lacked amble meat. I'd highly recommend the short rib dinner, which was delicious. Two of our friends had the cod, and said it was prepared well. Our one friend did feel the blueberry cobbler lacked enough blueberries, but the apple tart was quite good offering plenty of fruit. The vanilla ice cream was creamy and truly the star of the dessert. We would recommend eating here and we will come back again; most likely after the holidays.

    Happy to see the restaurant packed for the holiday, but we were seated within a few minutes since we had a reservation. Once again, the food and wine was excellent, our waiter was on point, we had a great table for two toward the front of the restaurant with great ambience. Love this place for date night, special occasion or girls dinner night out!

    I booked a 7:30 reservation for 3 people. Got there about 7:25pm and there were about 15 people in the small entrance area also waiting for tables. We were told there were no tables available and they had no idea when a table would open up. Also there were about 5 parties ahead of us waiting in line. Why take reservations if you can't honor them? We left and ended up going to Dolce Bene down the street (BYOB) and had an amazing meal with equally amazing service. I highly recommend that restaurant if anyone runs into this issue at Martinsville Tavern.

    Our first time there! We went with our friends who love it there! Parking lot is crazy and they need a better place to wait or bigger bar area to hang out in while waiting! It got crowded by the door

    We had a great birthday dinner at Martinsville Tavern. I love sitting by the windows. The macadamia crusted cod was amazing. It had squash and beets with a cognac sauce. The birthday girl had prime rib. The guys sang happy birthday and brought a complimentary ice cream. We loved it!!
