The Dining Room is an elevated cuisine experience that overlooks Central Park, with a focus on local and seasonal ingredients. We locally source our ingredients from farms within a 150-mile radius of The Met. Entrance to the Museum and The Met Dining Room requires a ticket or Membership card. Window seats can be requested but are not guaranteed.

                                                        The Met Dining Room offers a straightforward, but not elaborate menu of wonderfully prepared dishes. It proved to be a fantastic place to take a break from touring the museum and regroup in an elegant and quiet setting.

                                                        Our server was excellent, filled our glasses with iced tea without having to track her down. The ambience is great - a good view of the obelisk. My only criticism is that I requested a "medium rare hamburger" and it came out medium. I didn't want to wait for a redo and the quality of the meat was fine -- it just wasn't perfect.

                                                        Great lunch today…..beautiful presentation and delicious. Yellowtail tuna, Roasted and glazed duck breast and a Hazelnut/chocolate cake. Portions were large enough that two of us shared the meal. Our server Michael is warm and friendly. Always happy to see him.
