The Milling Room features seasonal New French-American cuisine, served in a sky-lit dining room and lively tavern-inspired bar in the heart of the Upper West Side.

We are accepting reservations for the Main Dining Room. Our Tavern welcomes you for walk-ins.

Our hours of operation for dinner are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm, and Friday and Saturday 5:00 pm - 10:30 pm.

We serve Brunch Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am - 3:30 pm

We have a 15-minute grace period. Please call us if you are running later than 10 minutes after your reservation time otherwise, we will release your table.

For larger parties, 6+ we require a credit card to hold the reservation due to limited availability. Any cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation time or no-shows will be charged a $35 per person cancellation fee.

This is just an amazing restaurant ambiance the food and the service A1 was just beyond imaginable, we love it we definitely coming back

After being moved from the dining room to the tavern when a last minute affair was booked we were skeptical, but we have a fabulous mean and perfect service by Ludwig. We started with steak tartar and a trio of dips that were all delicious. Main meals were duck and cavatelli with lamb ragu, prepared perfectly with professional presentation. We capped our meal with decadent chocolate cake that was a perfect sweet ending. Martini and Old Fashion cocktails were a great beginning to a lovely meal. We will be back.

The meal started off with ordering drinks- no draft beer which they had 5 listed on menu . Since no draft beer we ordered martini- grey goose , none , no Tito’s , The salad then came - ridiculous . 5 piece of lettuce topped with a piece of dry toast . Looked totally unappetizing. Sent back - meal came . One person ordered pasta shrimp - said it was not cooked . Didn’t eat . No accommodation on check on either salad or entree. Beautiful room but the experience was NOT GOOD ! We are usually not picky but this was unusually not a good experience at all.. sadly

Beautiful place Food was delicious Beginning was very efficient and fast Our waiter was sweet and with a very low voice but difficult to hear . All was awesome but I asked for an extra glass of wine and beverage never arrived . Tried to ask someone else and all of a sudden the manager came to the table and said wine was on the house . Very professional and kind . Desert took a very long time to get to the table and ice cream was melted and bread pudding a bit cold . Overall we loved the place and food and atmosphere A few minus but I’m sure it will be different next time Thank you

First time here but won't be the last. After reading all the great reviews, expectations were high. The Milling Room team exceeded all. Food was incredible, service 2nd to none, and the vibe was great. Looking forward to the next visit!

Food, service, ambiance was almost all outstanding and is the reason I will happily keep returning - the one exception was the bread pudding dessert which seemed a little dry / old. Otherwise, thanks for a wonderful dinner !!!

Ideal place to catch up with friends. Could actually hear one another , pacing of the meal was good , food delicious and appreciated the attentive and knowledgeable server. Great setting , with high ceilings and volume .
