Old Town Scottsdale’s heart beats to a Latin drum at The Mission where renowned Chef Matt Carter (Zinc Bistro and Fat Ox) brings a modern twist to Latin cuisine blending influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America.

Sip a signature margarita with unique flavors such as cucumber jalepeno or aguacate (yes, we said avocado) as you watch your Tableside Guacamole made to your taste from more than a dozen fresh ingredients.

Home made tortillas, and salsas are made fresh daily to accompany an assortment of meats and seafood prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood that instills a rich flavor. And save room for dessert including our pumpkin bread pudding or expresso churros.

Lovely restaurant with great ambiance. Food was good although on the pricier side. Soups could have been served hotter. Service was pleasant but most staff seemed more interested in a couple seated behind us as numerous staff came by and even when the waiter came to take our order he stopped mid sentence to step to that table and chat. Thought that was rather impolite. Other than that, we do like this restaurant.

Enjoy such an exceptional meal. Everything we ordered was so flavorful and perfectly prepared. All the staff so friendly, welcoming and professional. Our waiter Alfonzo was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and everything he recommended was amazing.

Food was delicious as were the drinks! Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations! The porchetta entree was insane. It's very dark inside which is great date vibes, just didn't like that the tables of the shared booths were so close together. Would request different seating next time, but would go back!

Simply put, the music was way too loud for an enjoyable dining experience. The servers had a hard time hearing our order. The food was top notch. The only reason this was not a 5 out of 5 was due to music volume and selection.

The duck empanadas with foie gras are amazing. The Iberico pork pluma with beech mushrooms and black beans served with homemade corn tortillas on a salt block is Michelin star worthy. Just an awesome place to eat and filled mainly with peasant minded tourists seeking out guacamole and tacos which are also delicious. A must place to eat when in Scottsdale.

Food and service were wonderful. Loved our waiter. It was off putting to be told by the hostess as we’re were being seated that we only had our table for one hour twenty minutes. Not a great was to start off. In the end it was fine as tables cleared and there was no pressure but it started the meal off awkwardly.

We enjoyed our dinner so much. The restaurant was beautiful inside. The staff were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The guac made at the table was delish! Everything we ordered was delicious. It was spicy but not too hot. We enjoyed it very much.

Bar tender was great! Sat outside and our server was wonderful! We ordered the shrimp tacos, mahi mahi tacos and steak tacos and shared them. Great flavor but food was cold The salsa and guacamole was absolutely delicious!!
