Old Town Scottsdale’s heart beats to a Latin drum at The Mission where renowned Chef Matt Carter (Zinc Bistro and Fat Ox) brings a modern twist to Latin cuisine blending influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America.

Sip a signature margarita with unique flavors such as cucumber jalepeno or aguacate (yes, we said avocado) as you watch your Tableside Guacamole made to your taste from more than a dozen fresh ingredients.

Home made tortillas, and salsas are made fresh daily to accompany an assortment of meats and seafood prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood that instills a rich flavor. And save room for dessert including our pumpkin bread pudding or expresso churros.

Lovely outdoor patio in Old Town with fireplace& space heaters. Great for those chilly AZ nights. Nice service, somewhat slow as all nights are busy at the Mission. Good food, but overpriced for what you get. Tasty cocktails but again quite pricey.

The lighting in the restaurant was awful. Diners were holding candles up to the menu in order to read it. When the food was served, I couldn't see what I was eating. The wait staff was excellent but I will never go back to this place. There are dozens of restaurants in the area where you can actually see what is on the table. Just to clarify, we were in the center of the restaurant, not in a corner. The whole place was dark except at the bart.

A bit disappointed as the delivery of our food took quite a while, over 45 minutes. Also, we had a reservation and noted it was a birthday which was acknowledged by the host however our server never even asked if we wanted dessert. We were excited to surprise our birthday girl with your lovely birthday sparkler presentation.
