The Mixer restaurant is in the historic 6th district in downtown Hopkinsville KY. Come see the newly renovated building that housed the iconic Young Hardware store from 1898 to 2017.
Get that big city experience in small town Kentucky with an open concept dining room, original brick walls, a beautiful centerpiece bar made from reclaimed wood, and balcony seating that overlooks the space.
We match the ambiance with a menu of handcrafted seasonal dishes, craft cocktails, gourmet coffees and homemade desserts. We also strive to source products from local businesses to showcase what this city has to offer.
Our food is best described as new American with Southern flare and international inspirations.
Some of our most popular dishes include: Shrimp and Grits, Double Cut Pork Chop, and Cold Smoked Crispy Skinned Salmon.

    We have a beautiful Mezzanine, which over looks the restaurant, and can be used for a variety of events, such as rehearsal dinners, baby showers, bridal showers, Hail and Farewells and more. We do have several pricing options and a selection of limited menus for you to choose from. Please call or email for information.

    Launch into the new year with The Mixer as we serve a specialty 4 course meal with live music by Britt Dignan! The first seating will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The second seating will be from 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm. Each ticket will be $80.00 plus tax and gratuity. Please select which seating you would like to attend and choose your preferred seating area. If you would like to be seated with another party, please specify in the special instructions field as you purchase your ticket. **Tickets are non-refundable if cancelled within 72 hours of the event.**

    Excellent brunch. We had the eggs Benedict and chicken and waffles. Both offered unique and interesting flavor profiles. Will definitely return for another dining experience.

    I specifically requested a side booth but was seated on a high table by the bar. My husband has a hearing disability and we could not hear ourselves talk. I ordered the salmon and the dish had too much pepper for the seasonings. Not sure I will eat here again.

    My family has enjoyed the Mixer for years now. The atmosphere and service are incredible and the food is consistently amazing. This is our special time place, reserved for when we need a little lift.

    The Mixer offers Southern cuisine with an elevated, sophisticated twist, and it does not disappoint. As a native of Hopkinsville, KY, their bourbon cocktail was a nostalgic delight—it truly felt like a taste of home. The star of the evening, however, was the trout dish. Cooked to perfection, it was topped with a white wine sauce that was simply chef’s kiss. The balance of flavors showcased both creativity and respect for Southern traditions. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort food with a touch of elegance, The Mixer is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
