Modern Diner. Global Fare. Delicious Fun. This is The Mockingbird. Led by talented culinary duo executive chef / partner Brian Riggenbach and front-of-house extraordinaire / partner Mikey Corona, The Mockingbird offers a menu of comfort classics with a global twist and an ambiance of art deco diner whimsy. Walls are covered in beautiful custom-made wallpaper, painted tin tiles on the ceiling, windows open to two patios as weather allows and a larger-than-life mirrored bird sculpture overlooking the dining room. And then there’s the food and drink! Munch on a Mockingburger or Mac N Cheese (aka Feeling Grate!) while sipping an Old-Fashioned-ish or a Punchin’ Bag (ask about it – they are famous!). We also love hosting group events! We have a private dining room, an upstairs dining room and an enclosed patio, all perfect for bridal showers and bachelorette parties plus business lunches and corporate dinners. This restaurant closes every afternoon from 2:30-4:00pm, however they allow you to book reservations on Open Table up to 2:00pm, with no mention of the closure. I also had to call a few hours prior to my reservation, but the host I spoke to didn’t mention the closure either. Both the bar & kitchen close at 2:30. Made for a very rushed experience & we felt like a bother, had we been aware of the closure we would have certainly picked a different time.

Delish as usual! We love coming here when friends are in town. Great drinks, innovative meals and good ambiance. Seating is a bit tight but still always a great time out to brunch!

As usual, the food was outstanding and the service was fast and above expected. We go often before plays at TPAC because they always have wonderful food and get us in and out quickly so that we arrive in time for the play.

First time brunching at The Mockingbird, and it was amazing! Fantastic service and standout dishes. Those Buns Dough—brioche cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting—were the perfect start. Sweet, indulgent, and unforgettable. The Rise and Shine (pork belly fried rice with a fried egg) was packed with flavor, and the Tots Alot (tater tots topped with pork sausage gravy) was equally impressive. Amazing food and service—can’t wait to come back!

The best restaurant in Nashville. Everything on this menu is out of this world. The staff is the most friendly staff and they always make me feel like I am at home when I am at Mockingbird.

We were the noise level. Accommodated our large party with great food and drinks. The hangar steak was amazing, as were the brussel sprouts. Would recommend, and we’ll be back again. Thank you!
