A GASTRONOMIC AMUSEMENT PARK WHERE NOTHING IS QUITE WHAT IT SEEMS…

The Monarch Theatre is a 20-seat venue serving a ten-course tasting menu subtly paying homage to some of DC universe’s most iconic Super Heroes and Super-Villains and the blurred lines in-between.

Dishes by Head Chef Alin Ciubotaru take guests on a culinary and visual journey with the help of 360-degree projection mapped walls.

Truly a one-of-a-kind gastronomic show, with carefully crafted staging and immersive courses that play with the senses – Gotham City, nor London for that matter has ever seen anything quite like it.

Created by Park Row founder James Bulmer, the experience is designed to trigger specific emotions through the environment of the room and the food on the table which tie into the theatrical narrative of the evening.

This event was cancelled. I was promised a full refund. I was told that someone would call me to arrange a refund. I received no further calls, and then a week later the phone line went dead. I bought 4 tickets through Open Table, which cost £540. I would like Open Table to contact me on 07717 307404 to discuss this immediately. Not only am I out of pocket for a substantially large amount of money, it ruined my friend’s special birthday by cancelling our long awaited plans.

You called me 3 weeks ago and told me that there was an economic reconstruction so I shouldn’t show up. So I didn’t. When I got a confirmation mail two days before the event, I tried to call you but nobody answered. Neither one of the many other days I tried to call you to get my 540 £ back. The money was already charged from my bank account when I booked the restaurant 2 months ago so I couldn’t get my money back. Either it is fraud or some of you staff sold my table twice. Or you are going through a reconstruction but then you shouldn’t se this Review. I am very disappointed ☹️

We did not get our experience, they cancelled it the day before we where supposed to go, saying they had routine maintenance, even though they had already taken our money 3 weeks prior, so must have known about any ‘routine maintenance’. They asked us to move it, which we couldn’t as we had come down to London just for the weekend and had other things planned. I still haven’t received my refund, which they said they would give, as it was entirely their mistake. Absolutely shocking customer service. A shame as we had previously been to the restaurant part and loved it. Will not go back there after the way they treat customers.

This evening was DELIGHTFUL, creative and perfectly executed! Although pricey, I would still recommend it. The food was unique and delicious and left us perfectly satiated at meals’ end. The fun during the meal made the food even better! Omar was a great host too. I chose the vegetarian meal with the non-alcoholic drinks and wouldn’t have changed either. My only warning is for walking around outside the Monarch Theatre in the Iceberg Lounge. My daughter tripped while walking out there due to unmarked levels around the space and I took a horrible fall as I was walking and talking with other guests. It was very scary and they worried about me. They should mark the step downs/ups clearly to keep guests from falling. I came home horribly bruised up and sore but still will remember this evening fondly.

Big DC nerd and the whole experience was amazing! Honestly haven’t ever gotten to try and experience most of the food on the menu, but ate it all and was really good! Omar and Ciri killed it during our time there and were great throughout the show! Sadly moving back to the states next month or would be coming back for sure. Telling all my co workers to go when they get the chance. Best restaurant I’ve been to in my time here!!

Amazing experience. Omar and Anthony where really fantastic. They both made the experience very enjoyable, they stuck to theme but without being over the top, they both reacted with people on the day but without being in your face. The food was amazing, incredible presentation and theme. The cocktails where also very good and very well presented.

Superb, superb superb! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We had an absolutely fantastic time. The story narrators and waiters were so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was great and the food delicious.
