The award-winning New London restaurant has been on Chelmsford’s dining and social scene since October 2013 and it still is a relaxed yet sophisticated dining venue. The venue is full of elegance and glamour – now more than ever after an incredible redesign in March 2018.

We have a reputation for seasonally inspired menus with a unique approach to homemade food which makes the New London restaurant a special place to visit.

We pride ourselves on our excellent service with a personal touch. All our staff are proud of, and knowledgeable about, our dishes, wines and cocktails.

We offer only the best locally sourced and seasonal British produce including fresh seafood, locally sourced ingredients and foraged herbs. All our dishes are served in the inimitable style that has helped it garner so many compliments and awards since opening.

We have eaten here before but tonight they really outdid themselves. The service was prompt, polite and great. The food was tremendous - my partner had the Scallops and Pork Belly to start and the steak for main and both were great. I had the Venison to start and the Duck Breast for main and these were equally fantastic. Both desserts - the Tarte Tatin and Chocolate Torte - were also lovely. Great meal, one of the best we have ever had. We will definitely be back!

The New London is one of our favourite places to eat out. The food is absolutely outstanding. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is soft, relaxing & they have great playlists for music. Value is beyond belief if you take advantage of the daily menu. We literally can't fault it, which is why we frequent it so often.

Had 3 courses on Saturday night absolutely delicious from start to finish! Excellent service too. Would highly recommend.

The food was delicious and presented well. The service was professional and friendly. It was not too busy, but there was nice background music and enough people to have a calm buzz. It is pricier than other places, but I think the quality reflects this. Highly recommend.

Lovely Burns Night Meal. Food and service impeccable as always. Price had gone up by £10 pp though and some meals had supplements plus it was very warm in there with the fire on.
