The Octagon Restaurant in Thornhill is a steakhouse in an elegant setting perfect for special occasions and making even a simple night out full of charm and history. The Octagon serves up charcoal broiled steaks, fish, seafood and more. Functions can also be accommodated.

The sophisticated setting at The Octagon has made them a favourite for 50 years. With special touches such as the full flavor of the tableside prepared Caesar salad and finely-aged cuts of beef prepared to order, it is easy to see that the entire family will be impressed.

                                                All good, my husband didn’t like how his steak was done, but didn’t say anything, so it was his problem. He should have sent it back. Otherwise all good but not as good as I remember it a few years ago.

                                                I’ve had a better tasting steak for cheaper elsewhere. Cesar salad was ok but not worth the price.

                                                I went with a friend to celebrate his birthday. Although it was my mistake to order "market price" shrimp cocktail, without asking what the price was, I was shocked to see a price of $60 for four jumbo size shrimps! The waiter should have mentioned that. In addition, we each ordered a Caesar Salad, which was extremely generous and each of us only completed half the salad. Again the waiter should have mentioned that it would be better to share the salad, since he also knew we would be sharing one main course. I doubt I will be going back as a result.

                                                Hi Lennie, thank you for your review and feedback. Unfortunately, our servers cannot read your mind and your hunger level; maybe you would have finished the Caesar and, as a result, would have shared a main course. We do not know and cannot assume from any guest what they would like when they come in. Since you know yourself better than anyone else, it is up to you to ask the following questions: how big is it, how much is the shrimp cocktail, and so on? And we will answer every question accordingly. We will still take your feedback to the team.

                                                The food and service was superb… beyond our expectation. Friendly and very accommodating staff. We live midtown and generally favour a downtown steak restaurant. Octagon was highly recommended to us by our friends Susan and Jaime Furman. We’ve just discovered our new favourite steakhouse.                                                 Always consistently great food and service so usually very busy which detracts from the ambiance but it is fine dining in lovely surroundings and we keep returning for the food and the service.

                                                Old school steakhouse with amazing service and reasonable price for great quality and ambiance. One of the few restaurants in the GTA still providing table side service such as the amazing ceasar salad, dover sole and Spanish coffee. While prime rib is their specialty, I would skip it in favour of the bone in rib steak and lamb chops.
