The Pembroke is generally terrific. Indeed, I have been there several times for bunch and dinner. The food and service are almost always great. Tonight, the food was fine; however, the service was uneven. It took 90 minutes for our entrees to appear. The server got drink orders wrong, and our sides came too long after our mains.

Outstanding and attentive staff. Food was above average but not five stars. Salad had a hit of too much salt and pork was fattier than it should have been. Outstanding cocktail program including a perfectly made martini. “See and be seen” vibe.

Sunday Supper was a fun and intimate experience! Great family-style menu with Puerto Rican flare and good value for the price. We got 3appetizers, a shareable entree with two sides, and 2 desserts. Will definitely be back to try another Sunday Supper, love this concept!

I called beforehand and told them it was my sister’s birthday- they forgot. My husband had to wave his arms to get the waitress’ attention and after he was honest, though diplomatic, when he complained about how frustrating it was to follow up on requests for our large party, her attitude deteriorated. I have no doubt she is great at her job but acted aggrieved by us once we voiced our concerns. Food is just OK. Ambiance is lovely.

We had the prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner. The seafood spread was plentiful and fresh, they were putting fresh seafood out about every 5 minutes. All 3 courses were perfectly cooked apart from the octopus which my friend found to be a little on the salty side, she loved the pasta and sauce that came with it. I had the prime filet and it lived up to the definition “melt in your mouth tender”. The service was perfect, Daniel Penda who attended to us was friendly, attentive, and always had a smile on. Everyone else was very friendly and we had several people check on us at appropriate times to see that we were having a lovely dinner. I definitely would recommend for a special occasion or fancy dinner. The ambiance at The Pembroke is perfect for that.

The food was excellent. I don’t think I’ve ever had salmon cooked as well as I did here, and the steak was cooked perfectly too. The service was very good, and overall it was a great experience. We would definitely come back.
