Join us on Sunday, January 5, for our next Sunday Supper! On the first Sunday of each month, The Pembroke offers two community table seatings (5 pm and 7 pm). Parties who book this option will be seated with fellow diners, creating a warm atmosphere to form new connections. This month, Chef Angela Heidenthal brings a taste of her rural upbringing to The Pembroke with a family-style, multi-course menu inspired by her childhood and using fresh, seasonal ingredients from the Dupont Circle Farmers Market. Poorly managed and the food was sub par. Definitely not a five star hotel. The manager tried to spin why they were out of food, and then said oh by the way we have the dishes the kitchen was trying to close.

We had a great time at the Pembroke. Decor was elegant & staff were warm and welcoming. We had to ask for things & wait a bit the second half of our dinner since our waiter has other tables. The food was delicious & the portions made sense for the Christmas menu. They did not skimp on the food at all. Great value & ambience.

Went for the 4 course Christmas Lunch based on the menu posted online (lots of seafood). We were happy that we landed on The Pembroke! Started with cocktails from the holiday menu - a mescal & a bourbon drink. Yummy. Raw & charcuterie bar was next. The stone crabs were a bit hard to manage because we didn't have crackers or lobster forks, but we made it work. Appetizers consisted of seared scallop (minus bacon) & lobster bisque, both of which were done to perfection. Entree was turbot, which was also cooked to perfection & the accompanying clams were the highlight for me. Dessert was ok, but the weakness of the meal - I had sorbet & my friend had Mont Blanc, which was definitely different than the usual format. I did like the addition of coffee ice cream on it - definitely the highlight of the dessert. Staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. Our server, Daniel, was extra attentive, but everyone chipped in to assist. Would definitely go back for a special occasion! Thank you for making Christmas a unique experience!

Service and overall experience was severely lacking today. From the 15 minute wait past our reservation time, to being asked to walk slowly to the table so it could be set, to not getting water and other drink refills unless we asked and having to ask for our check twice, it was just not a good experience. Very disappointing end to our weekend.

I ordered a salmon bagel with a side of avocados and it was very delicious! The table next to us also had mimosas which looked very delicious and the price is very reasonable for breakfast/brunch on the weekend. I would definitely recommend this place.

I was staying at the Dupont Circle Hotel, so I made a reservation at The Pembroke. The restaurant looked beautiful, and the menu looked good. Instead of being seated at a regular dining table, I was told that the restaurant was full and I could either sit at the bar, or take booth in the bar section. DESPITE THE FACT THAT I HAD A CONFIRMED RESERVATION!!! I ended up taking the booth because I was not interested in sitting at the bar. The booth was right across from the large entryway into the restaurant so there was a constant cool breeze blowing over my table all night. There was also a server station right behind my seat, so I could overhear all of their conversations. I believe that there is simply no excuse for refusing a regular dining table to a patron simply because they are party of one.
