From it’s humble beginnings as a pop-up restaurant, to a farmer"s market stand and now a successful brick-and-mortar eatery, The Pig and the Lady, led by twice-nominated James Beard semifinalist Chef Andrew Le (with help from his family including his mother, Mama Le), cook up what is essentially the family meal in the truest sense -- Exposing Honolulu diners a cross-section of cuisine that has Vietnamese origins, but is eclectic and daring.Chef Le and his team have developed a modern, fresh take on traditional Southeast Asian food, utilizing local products -- serving their famous banh mi and pho, along with new favorites. Le is the one of the few chefs cooking contemporary food built on Southeast Asian flavors that has garnered rave reviews -- a foundation built on delicious memories first introduced by his mother. They are open Monday through Saturday, serving lunch and dinner. You can also still find them at the Farmer’s Markets at Blaisdell, Kailua and KCC.

    Amazing food, duck breast was outstanding, get the burrata appetizer, pho75, desserts are exceptional. This place has the coolest vibe and best food on the island. Insanely delicious.

    Best food we ate on Oahu. We had a great time and would go again, BUT if you are celebrating a special occasion, don't expect any attention from the restaurant. We let them know we were celebrating a milestone birthday. We were given the absolute worst seats in the house and other than a very cursory happy birthday from our server as we were seated, there was no mention of our celebration. We didn't need or expect anything, but it is unusual enough in the restaurant world that I thought I would mention it. The food was so good and it made the night.

    My favorite. Everything is amazing. The menu changes but, the Pork collar is the best. And as good as the food and drinks are, the desserts are even better.

    The vegetarian pho broth is exceptional - such developed flavors! Very heart and filling too. Love the brisket bahn mi - so tender. Always have the soft serve - such an adventure finding out what the flavors will be!

    This place is fantastic! I booked about a month in advance due to a friend’s recommendation and I was not disappointed. The service was thorough, empty plates were promptly cleared and water glasses were always full. The food proved to be some of the most delicious plates I’ve had in my life. Do not miss the Burmese Tea Salad or the Epaulette, both were some of the best bites I’ve had in a long time. Thank you FOH and BOH for working so well together and providing myself and my family with our best dining experience while visiting O’ahu!

    The pho is incredible, especially with rare steak that cooks as you let it sit and a side of hoisin to dip it in.

    The vegetarian pho was very flavorful and had a wide variety of vegetables and mushrooms. The scallop dish was cooked to perfection with a delicious vegetable puree and assorted mushrooms. Service was on point with attention to detail. Decor inside was pretty good. The lights hanging from the roof had a peculiar covering. The bathroom was stylish and clean. Overall, this was a meal worth a reservation in advance.
