From it’s humble beginnings as a pop-up restaurant, to a farmer"s market stand and now a successful brick-and-mortar eatery, The Pig and the Lady, led by twice-nominated James Beard semifinalist Chef Andrew Le (with help from his family including his mother, Mama Le), cook up what is essentially the family meal in the truest sense -- Exposing Honolulu diners a cross-section of cuisine that has Vietnamese origins, but is eclectic and daring.Chef Le and his team have developed a modern, fresh take on traditional Southeast Asian food, utilizing local products -- serving their famous banh mi and pho, along with new favorites. Le is the one of the few chefs cooking contemporary food built on Southeast Asian flavors that has garnered rave reviews -- a foundation built on delicious memories first introduced by his mother. They are open Monday through Saturday, serving lunch and dinner. You can also still find them at the Farmer’s Markets at Blaisdell, Kailua and KCC.

    This was my first time to The Pig & the Lady. The service excellent and food was delicious. We found parking at the Marin Tower building. Wish we could have been seated at a table; however, when we make the reservations only the counter was available, but it was just fine. I would go there again.

    We were recommended to try Pig and Lady, and it did not disappoint. We shared the chicken wings and beets to start, I had the Pho 75 (which is huge) and my friend had the epaulette for entrees. Everything had complex and unexpected flavors. Plus excellent service, and the decor is quirky and fun. Would definitely visit regularly if I lived in Honolulu.

    The food was flawless. It’s no wonder there’s a line forming even before the restaurant opens. I’ll definitely come back again.

    Food, Service, Cocktails all were outstanding. This was our favorite meal and restaurant in Honolulu out of the dozen we tried. Very highly recommend

    Wow...what a meal! This was our last night in Oahu, and we saved the best for last. Reservations are a must as this is not a large restaurant. We were seated promptly at a table, and we sampled the very innovative cocktails. So delicious and great balance between alcohol, botanicals and fruit juices. Our starter was the vegetable spring rolls...outstanding flavor! For main, we tried the Pho and the spaghetti, the latter was a fascinating umami dish with many different and complementary salty and savory flavors. Finally, we shared one of the Sundae Funday with Jamison Whiskey custard and coffee sorbet ina waffle cup topped with chocolate crack. The flavors were subtle, creamy, sweet and crunchy. It was gone in a flash. Outstanding meal and our server was on top of all of our needs, and made great recommendations. If you have the chance, go have a great meal!

    Food is very unique flavors. Well worth the extra $'s paid for Vietnamese. The vegan broth wasn't as flavorful as it used to be - seems like some of the spices are no longer being used. Hope was a one time thing and that they're not changing menu / cutting costs ...

    We had the wings, mom's pate chaud, pho 75 and dessert. All the food was amazing and the drinks were great. Only issue was that our first drink order took a while to come out. Would definitely recommend. Menu changes regularly but all the dishes we had were spot on.
