My wife and I enjoyed The Pirates' House. The ambiance and service were outstanding (recognizing it's a historic, rustic ambiance with a touch of haunted house vibe). Our waiter was such a nice gentleman, really one of the best waiters we've ever experienced, even in higher end restaurants. The food was pretty decent, particularly at the price point, but not outstanding. That said, we weren't coming for gourmet, and the food was totally acceptable quality given the very reasonable prices. Of note, the gumbo was pretty good, the she-crab soup was only so-so (very heavy cream, not much crab, no sherry to be seen), and the grouper was okay. The artillery punch was pretty good (and strong!). Overall, we enjoyed it, and so long as you're going for a neat historical experience with the hint of a haunted house, we'd recommend it.
