Seventeen floors above the River Derwent, the Point Revolving Restaurant at Wrest Point radiates ‘special occasion.’ When the doors open and the view unfolds, you’ll understand why The Point has been a backdrop of memorable dining 40 years over.

This Hobart restaurant is committed to people, produce and place. Our French-inspired menu weaves some of Tasmania’s finest ingredients into a dining experience punctuated with theatre and flair. Like the sound of Crepe Suzettes cooked at your table with flair by our wait staff?

                              Great place for a celebratory meal. Excellent views over Hobart and the Derwent River. Food and service was excellent and we really enjoyed the ‘theatre’ of our crepe suzette being cooked in front if us.

                              Overall experience was just OK. Sitting on the highest building in Hobart (17th Floor), views were good, but cannot click photos as the internal reflection in to the glass. well presented tables and service. Food was nice but the quantity was not enough. The price you pay for one dish, you can have 4 times of that same dish any where in the hotel or taverns (similar taste, nothing new). may be the price was for the rotating floor not for the food. Must add that the staff member who served us (Auzeen) did do amazing job and she was explaining every dish and her service was outstanding.

                              Such a great experience. Staff were froendly and accommodating. Food was excellent as well as the selection of drinks offer. Amazing view!

                              We had the 3 course table d’hote menu for $99 and thought the food was amazing. The short rib was a standout. Thanks to Christie who was our fabulous waiter and Nick who warmly greeted us. Look forward to a return trip.

                              Great location - the service was exceptional. The food was delicious- especially the pork belly for the entree and the duck and lamb for the main. Definitely a place to visit not just for a special occasion.

                              We had the set menu with one upgrade to Steak Diane, both had oysters for entree, mains Lamb Loin & Steak Diane with Huon apple and Opera Gateau for dessert all was delicious
