At the Post we are bringing together comfort food you can feel good about with innovative cocktails, a special spirits list, craft beer & wines, the post offers a neighborhood dining experience for sharing a drink or meal with friends, family, or coworkers. Opened by Victoria Breslin in early 2018, the restaurant will serve a menu that changes according to the season. Our chef focuses on ingredients from local, responsible, and sustainable farmers. The bar program will follow the same philosophy with seasonal and fresh new ideas and ingredients.

History
Established in 2018.

The restaurant's name draws from the history of the Main Street building it's housed in, known as the Copeland Building. The historic building, which is on the list of Los Altos Historic Landmarks, originally housed the city's post office.

All good. Good food. Very pleasant staff. One minor issue was … the volume of the TV playing the Giants game was overkill. (Perhaps there was a guest who was hard of hearing?). We were seated in a booth in the front part, and could not easily have a conversation.

Great spot for school meet-up with parents and kids. Just had a high school gathering at The Post with about 20 people—everything was set up on time and run smoothly, the staff was super attentive. It wasn’t quiet enough for easy conversation with a group this size. Definitely recommend!

We are frequent guests at The Post; sometimes just for happy hour, other times for large group diners. The setting is always fun, the menu diverse, the prices reasonable, and the owner and staff personable and accommodating. They go out of their way to host many special events, frequently including live music and imaginative themes. Everyone who we introduce to The Post is quick to plan a return visit. We are fortunate to have a number of excellent restaurants in Los Altos, and The Post remains in our top tier for casual, well-formatted dining and entertainment.

This was a very festive dinner. With music outside and a costume contest. Just a wonderful time and meal.

Went for Yelloween, Vueve Cliquot! My favorite champagne. The live band was good, the food was too. Had a great time. Hope they have Vueve Cliquot out there again!

Everything was absolutely delicious. Crispy Brussel Sprouts were a great starter. Beet and Ceasar salads were fresh and tasty. Burger and Tri Tip Dip sandwiches were well cooked and delicious. Service was spotty and our food came out too quickly before we were done with the prior course. We will return.

The service, food, and menu were excellent for a casual quality meal. The only issue we had was the significant delay between ordering our mains and service.
