Where do I start. This meal was pre-paid $150 per person including tax and tip, before drinks. When we arrived they tried to sit us at a coffee table, table in the bar. When I asked to be moved she said we have a lot of reservations today. I said, yes and I'm one of them. She said she would have to talk to the manager. She came back and still did not want to move us. I insisted, nicely. She took us to a two top with one of the chairs in the aisle way into the room. People had to squeeze by. She sat a couple next to us, they asked to be moved and were escorted to a perfectly placed 4 top in the same room. When the couple vacated we moved over. They never sat anyone where we had been and many tables were empty during the time we were there. Why would you give a customer with reservations two bad tables. Then it took us forever to flag down someone to take our drink order. The drinks arrived while we were at the buffet. One of the drinks was the wrong drink. Again, we flagged someone down and explained. She said that's what you ordered, I can show you, meaning that's what she wrote down. It was a brown drink, a bourbon or whiskey base, my friend does not drink those. Finally someone sane came over and took the drink back and brought her the right one. The food, where do I begin, it was awful. I was expecting a wonderful spread for that money (I understand there is a premium for Christmas). There was no breakfast meat at the omelet station. No breakfast food at all. Where was the lox and creme cheese, the oatmeal, cereal, waffles etc. No bread. There was a ham, roast beef and poultry carving station, a very simple omelet bar, cold roasted potatoes, over done brussel sprouts, a fish dish, quiche, a few other things I can't remember and 3 different desserts at the dessert station. It was lacking in variety and what was there did not taste good. The music was a little loud. The rooms are elegant, so that was a treat.
