Join us at the Potted Lobster for our Game Tasting Evening. The 6 course tasting menu will be focusing on seasonal game, sourced from neighbouring estates and farms, using traditional and modern cooking techniques to give you a delicious dining experience. For further indulgence why not upgrade to our wine pairing package and enjoy perfectly paired wine with decadent smells, tastes, and flavours to match to each course. Our Game tasting evening is running on Thursday 21st November 7pm onwards, and on Thursday 6th February.
Wine Pairing Dinner - In Association with Yealands

The 5 course tasting menu will be focusing on seasonal Fish and Meat, sourced from neighbouring estates, farms, and fisheries, using traditional and modern cooking techniques to give you a delicious dining experience. Our Wine tasting evening is running on Thursday 6th March 2025.

Excellent NYE lunch. Staff and service really friendly and efficient. Food was superb. We try and visit every time we’re in Bamburgh and will definitely be back. Thank you

Absolutely delicious - had sea bream which was exquisite- and v generous. Delicious beetroot salad with lovely dressing hazelnuts and pickle - everyone delighted with their choices - v generous and very fresh

Great place to eat in Bamburgh. Service was excellent as was the food. Friendly and attentive waiters. Would definitely recommend.

Mrs R had the beetroot salad & I had the pate to start with. Both very flavoursome & well recieved. Mrs R had the red mullett for mains with sweet potato fries & veg. She said it was delicious. I had the beer battered haddock with pea puree & chips. The fish was probably the best I had ever had to be honest, together with the homemade tartare sauce. Unfortunately that's where the plaudits stop. The pea puree was only lukewarm & my pet hate it tepid food. The chips were at best awful. Over cooked & lacking substance. A bottle of Picpoul shared at a tad short of £40 was at the top end for the quality of the wine. All in all acceptable due to the scrumptious nature of the fish. Would I go back...most definitely, I just hope it was a bad night for the chips.
