The Potting Shed is a place to meet, eat, drink, relax and chat your day and night away – where hanging plants, terracotta pots and timber beams meet brass, brick and iron. Where you can plant yourself down on the swing seat, bench or at the bar and feel like you are on your family’s porch.

It’s a lively place where you can hoe into fresh, locally harvested produce, delivered by our shed-hands. The same hands that will deliver you good-natured banter, craft beers on tap, great tasting wines and unique cocktails.

The menu offers cozy share options for groups, three course substantial meal choices for those wanting to make an evening of it and a fun selection of nibbles for people wanting a light after-work snack with their cocktails or a share jug amongst friends.

To park at The Grounds, please enter via 2 Huntley Street and speak with one of our friendly Grounds Rangers who are on hand to help you find the closest available space. Alternatively, street parking is also available.
Public transit
The Grounds is located a 10-15 minute walk from Green Square station, which has frequent services to and from Central station and the CBD. St Peters station is also a 20-30 minute walk away.<br /> <br />Bus route 348 (Randwick to Wolli Creek via Green Square) and Bus route 305 (Mascot Stamford Hotel to Redfern via Waterloo) stops outside the restaurant.<br /> <br />Route updates, timetables and travel information are available at www.transportnsw.info, or real-time travel apps.

Beautifully styled with candles & rustic terracotta elements, enjoy a delicious 3-course set menu feast! T&C's: - Semi-private dining with all guests seated at a high table. - Groups under 16 guests will share the table; 16+ guests enjoy exclusive use. - Reservations are for 2.5 hours. - Not available between 2:15pm and 4:45pm. - Guests aged 16+ must dine on the group menu. - Dietary requirements must be confirmed 48 hours in advance; we'll do our best to accommodate. - Cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice. - Capacity: 10-20 guests. - 10% service charge applies. - Styling and set menu may change without notice.

Our $75 per person share menu is in place for all groups of 10 guests or more with a 10% gratuity applicable to your final bill. Terms & conditions: - Our tables operate on a two hour sitting time. - Please note, our group menu is required for all guests in your party over 16 years of age. - Our group menu is not available from 2.45pm- 4.45pm, all reservations made within this time will be on our standard menu. - Any and all dietary requirements must be confirmed with the venue at least 48 hours in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate these requests.

Good location with ample parking. A little crowded with seating and tables somewhat crammed in plus noise level high but great service and enjoyable meals with the pork cutlet standing out, could not get to dessert selection as meal portions were large.

This is a regular haunt of ours. The food is great and the service is usually good. I think they may have a few new staff in for Xmas so the service wasn’t as good as usual and it was Extremely busy. It’s probably just the season. Will definitely be back next year.

Unfortunately our first experience here as a birthday dinner celebration for my husband and daughter. Arrived 15 mins earlier than our reservation. Busy but not full house. We ordered 6 items. My husband’s meal wasn’t put through (pork chop) and a different main was on the receipt (chicken thighs) that didn’t even come out. Mistakes all over the place. We waited so long for someone to come and check if we had received all items. The waitress who took our order left mid way so another waitress had to deal with her mess. The 2nd waitress and restaurant manager were apologetic and gave us a discount but unfortunately it has ruined our experience.
