The Potting Shed is a place to meet, eat, drink, relax and chat your day and night away – where hanging plants, terracotta pots and timber beams meet brass, brick and iron. Where you can plant yourself down on the swing seat, bench or at the bar and feel like you are on your family’s porch.

It’s a lively place where you can hoe into fresh, locally harvested produce, delivered by our shed-hands. The same hands that will deliver you good-natured banter, craft beers on tap, great tasting wines and unique cocktails.

The menu offers cozy share options for groups, three course substantial meal choices for those wanting to make an evening of it and a fun selection of nibbles for people wanting a light after-work snack with their cocktails or a share jug amongst friends.

To park at The Grounds, please enter via 2 Huntley Street and speak with one of our friendly Grounds Rangers who are on hand to help you find the closest available space. Alternatively, street parking is also available.
Public transit
The Grounds is located a 10-15 minute walk from Green Square station, which has frequent services to and from Central station and the CBD. St Peters station is also a 20-30 minute walk away.<br /> <br />Bus route 348 (Randwick to Wolli Creek via Green Square) and Bus route 305 (Mascot Stamford Hotel to Redfern via Waterloo) stops outside the restaurant.<br /> <br />Route updates, timetables and travel information are available at www.transportnsw.info, or real-time travel apps.

Beautifully styled with candles & rustic terracotta elements, enjoy a delicious 3-course set menu feast! T&C's: - Semi-private dining with all guests seated at a high table. - Groups under 16 guests will share the table; 16+ guests enjoy exclusive use. - Reservations are for 2.5 hours. - Not available between 2:15pm and 4:45pm. - Guests aged 16+ must dine on the group menu. - Dietary requirements must be confirmed 48 hours in advance; we'll do our best to accommodate. - Cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice. - Capacity: 10-20 guests. - 10% service charge applies. - Styling and set menu may change without notice.

Our $75 per person share menu is in place for all groups of 10 guests or more with a 10% gratuity applicable to your final bill. Terms & conditions: - Our tables operate on a two hour sitting time. - Please note, our group menu is required for all guests in your party over 16 years of age. - Our group menu is not available from 2.45pm- 4.45pm, all reservations made within this time will be on our standard menu. - Any and all dietary requirements must be confirmed with the venue at least 48 hours in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate these requests.

We paid for a romance package and we’re sat next to a big family with kids ( not so romantic ) took ages to get a drink . Staff were friendly enough .Entrees pretty good. Mains hmmmmm ordered a lamb rump . Had to chew and spit into a serviette . Apparently the waiter ordered the wrong thing ? It was the wagu . Now my husband has been a butcher for a long time and laughed at that wagu should not be tough and tasteless . Just terrible. They did apologise but it fell a bit flat to be honest . There is a lot of hype about this place , for us it just wasn’t that great sadly .

Great service. We didn't wait at all to be seated and were looked after very well - promptly ordering and getting food & drinks. Fabulous atmosphere. The SugarPlum decorations were pretty

Food was lovely with a nice selection but came out at all different times with mains coming before starters and then some of us were finished before others got served. Also for a table of 9 they only brought one bottle of water and we had to ask a few times for another bottle and that was done before the meals came and we didn't get any other bottles. I know they were busy and it was heavily booked up but it wasn't stellar service

The food service had a really long waiting period 1-1.5h. Attendants were too occupied with trivial matters, or likes to look away/pass from those who need assistance. Very neglectant.

Noise level was more than appropriate for the space and made the atmosphere amazing. Love the greenery and aesthetic on-top of the great service and wonderful food.
