The Iconic Shafer Vineyards has produced classic, elegant wines for more than 45 years. Elias Fernandez, Shafer’s winemaker, celebrates his 40th year at this estate. He and his team care for the winery’s 242 acres of vineyard and meticulously craft its wines including the flagship Cabernet Sauvignon, Hillside Select. Shafer has a decades-long commitment to sustainability and beginning in the 1980s embraced farming techniques that eliminate insecticides and herbicides and carefully conserve water resources.
