    The Progress will be hosting the team from Robert Sinskey Vineyards, offering their exceptional wines alongside our à la carte menu. Participation is not required. RSVnapa is a second-generation, family-owned vineyard and winery, committed to organic farming and sustainable practices since 1991. They follow Rudolph Steiner's “whole farm” philosophy, prioritizing soil health to create vibrant, balanced wines. With 200+ acres of vineyard and natural habitats, they foster biodiversity and sustainability. Winemaker Jeff Virnig crafts wines that emphasize elegance and finesse, avoiding score-driven reviews. The farm also integrates sheep, enriching soil and providing wool, completing the cycle of life in a closed-loop, eco-friendly system.

Legendary winemaker, Ted Lemon is taking a special tour across the US as he and Heidi Lemon will be celebrating one spectacular evening in San Francisco. This exclusive evening will showcase an incredible range of their finest wines, meticulously crafted by Ted. His dedication to sustainable practices and terroir-driven wines has earned international acclaim. Ted’s expertise and passion have shaped Littorai into a world-class winery, consistently producing award-winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Don’t miss the opportunity to taste exclusive library vintages back to the 1990’s and learn about the artistry behind every bottle. Experience Littorai’s legacy firsthand and raise a glass to 30 years of innovation, quality, and excellence! Due to the special nature of this event, tickets are non-refundable. The Workshop is the private dining room at The Progress, which is only accessible by stairs.     Def not michelin-starred service. Table is left uncleaned for very long between course. Dish intro was bare minimal.

    The atmosphere is loud and the food, although creative, missed the mark too many times with odd flavor combinations that were esoteric and poorly conceived. A Michelin star for this place is a bit of a stretch, but the service was personable and informative. No valet parking in an area with crowded street parking is a huge Negative! I don’t need to go back.

    Our first visit to The Progress and the food was delicious. However we made some rookie mistakes navigating the unusual menu, despite the very helpful input from our Server. Next time we’ll be much better prepared to know how many plates to order. In addition to great food, they did a super job with the cocktails

    We had a fabulous experience at Progress! The food was amazing, the service was amazing, and the cocktails were amazing. We have become somewhat of "regulars" here because it is consistent, and the vibe is all about good energy. We brought our out-of-town family with us last night, and they loved it. Thank you for a great evening!

    I heard great things about this restaurant and was expecting a great experience, but didn’t have one. The server we had seemed annoyed that we were there later in the evening and didn’t like that we only wanted to order 3 dishes and a dessert. We said “we want to start with 3 and then maybe add one on after” but that didn’t seem to be okay with her. Our server we had was also switched half way through our meal and no one said goodbye when we left even know the server walked past as we were leaving. For $100+ per person it’s not the experience I was hoping for. The food was experimental and was unique but overall it was too complex and the overpowering parts of the dishes made it so you couldn’t enjoy them. I think they took the experimental parts too far. We had the Crispy Tofu, Grilled Shrimp, Dumplings, and the Mochi Donuts. The cocktails we very good, so if you’re going I’d recommend going for a cocktail, but wouldn’t go for the service or food. P.s. it’s also worth noting that we didn’t get a quality checked once when the dishes were dropped off so we didn’t have an opportunity to provide real time feedback to our server.

    The Progress never disappoints. It's perfect for a relaxed date night or dinner with friends. The food is always outstanding and the staff is very knowledgeable.
