The Public House at Vinings is the newest social gathering spot in the historic Vinings neighborhood. From a seat at the bar, to fun conversations with friends lounging on the couches, or traditional dining, we have created an environment to oblige your every mood.

We believe in doing the Simple things Brilliantly. There is nothing complicated here. Our menu features innovative, Chef inspired locally sourced ingredients with an emphasis on shared plates to entice your adventurous side. If a burger, steak, or fresh fish is your thing, we have that too. Craft cocktails all created with house made ingredients with wine and craft beer on tap guarantee to get the fun started.

Food was outstanding. If service matched this would be 5 Star venue. Too few servers for a Sunday morning brunch.

We understood that the restaurant was in a hotel, but overall getting seated was confusing. There was no hostess to seat us and eventually we were able to get a passing server to tell us to seat ourselves. I guess we also didn’t need our reservation? The server was not very personable (I believe she was new, so we were empathetic). We were unable to get explanations of sides (ie what is your cheesy corn side? No answer). We got the meatballs as an appetizer and those were delicious - no issue. When we finally got the entrees, 3/4 meals were wrong. 2 in our party received a different entree than what they ordered, and it did not even have the sides on the plate listed on the menu. We were eventually told that the missing side was unavailable for the night (potatoes). I ordered a ribeye medium rare and it came out well done. I sent it back with specific instructions and it came back again well done. At that point we decided we would go to another restaurant. We got passed from the server, to another server, to a supervisor and eventually a manager came over. The manager was the only person that showed any type of customer service. During this time, we never got asked for drink refills, no one ever topped our water and while we were trying to get status of our meals we basically could not get anyone to look at our table. We sat in the restaurant for over an hour leaving hungrier than we came. Overall I would not recommend this place - not sure if we hit a night with all new employees, but it was not an enjoyable experience at all.

It took a long time for service to begin. Also, the food wasn't great. I was disappointed that the french toast was made with regular white bread vs. the challah bread that was listed on the menu.

Well I guess I didn’t read any reviews because I didn’t realize this place was in a hotel - oops! Nice servers and pretty quiet except for the guests from the hotel in the lobby departing. I was catching up with an old friend and we were given the space and privacy to do so which I appreciated. My friend get steak and eggs which she said were delicious. I got the chicken and waffles and the chicken was pretty over cooked for my taste. Nice place overall.

Obviously the regular staff was not there. Waitress was clueless and kept bringing us wrong drinks (coffee,tea,juice-simple stuff) and the banquet manager took our orders. The food was fabulous but service was terrible. It is really just a coffee shop in an overly priced hotel. Won’t bother going back
