    Riccarton House is one of my favourite places to relax and dine: the ambience is superb, the lunch very pleasant, and the staff friendly and accommodating.

    Beautiful food… the best seafood chowder I’ve tasted. Very good service too, esp from young Will who was very efficient and polite.

    We booked for 8 people at 2 o’clock on Sunday for afternoon tea. We were disappointed that there wasn’t much food left in the cabinet even though we’d booked a week earlier. Only 2 tarts, and a few pieces of cake and choc brownies, no scones or other choices. I also had to visit in person to book as the website wouldn’t allow a booking for more than 4 and my phone message wasn’t replied to.

    Lovely way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Sat outside to enjoy the lovely weather. Food okay, but quite pricey for what we got

    Lovely setting in the old Dean's House. Clean, bright, quiet, tasty food, well presented, good wait staff. Jus a little fancier than the main drag of Riccarton Rd or the Mall and the walk there is very pleasurable

    It was my sister's 80th birthday and she was surprised with a celebratory glass of bubbles which was a lovely surprise. The meal was very nice (all 3 of us had different versions of the omelette) which we all enjoyed. The waitress and service was very nice yet unobtrusive, and afterwards we enjoyed strolling round the grounds & sitting down by the river amidst the ducks. It was a beautiful day in a beautiful setting and we will be back.
