We reserved one of the whiskey barrels for dinner, hoping for a cozy experience on a cold night. While the barrel was slightly warmer than the outdoor chill, it didn’t get much warmer by the end of the meal, so I recommend dressing appropriately if you plan to dine here in colder weather.
The menu selection was decent and met our expectations for variety. To sample a bit of everything, we ordered from different sections, including ramen, sandwiches, pizza, appetizers, and desserts. Unfortunately, the ramen was disappointing—the broth was fine, but the rest was nearly inedible. The egg looked unappetizing and seemed like it could upset your stomach, while the beef was tough and chewy, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The pizzas were also a letdown. Despite the open kitchen giving the impression of fresh, amazing pizzas, the reality didn’t match the expectation.
Thankfully, the sandwiches were okay and provided some redemption. For dessert, we ordered a cake meant to resemble s’mores, which my kids usually love. However, they only took a small nibble and left most of it untouched. The appetizers were average—neither particularly good nor bad.
In my opinion, this place is better suited for lunch or daytime snacks rather than dinner. I’d recommend skipping the full dinner experience and instead coming for cocktails and appetizers before heading elsewhere for a meal, or perhaps stopping by for a post-dinner photo op in the whiskey barrel for the ambiance.
