   My experience was nothing short of horrible. When I reached at the restaurant , the lady at the reception was bit shocked as she could not find our reservation. I showed her my confirmation message and she asked us to wait as they were busy with another party going on . After a few minutes , we were given a table in the waiting area near the bar. Another staff came to show us a screenshot that , they have not received any intimation from open table though i could clearly see a reservation in my name in the receptionist’s desktop. Anyways , tech glitches happen. We sat down to order food in the waiting area near the bar and discovered someone has put a bag of clothes under the table we were seated. After some five minutes , someone came to take the order and when i asked for the dinner menu , he told they don’t have it today in stead gave me an all day dining menu. Fine , i asked where is the drinks menu ??? He got us after a while. We waited and waited for 20 minutes that someone will come to take our drinks order but nobody showed up. It was almost 40 minutes since we reached at the restaurant and our drinks order was not even taken. A fine dining restaurant makes you seat in the waiting area near a bag of clothes , don’t have the dinner menu , the host forgets to bring the drinks menu and nobody attends you for next 20 minutes. I decided to leave the Reading room to another place to have some food and save my evening. After 1.5 hours , i received a call from the restaurant , asking why I left without having food. I told them to call me next day as I was having my dinner somewhere else. Nobody reached out after that. I have been to the Reading Room and my experience was very good. Hope they don’t repeat the same.

   Booked through open table and though the restaurant couldn’t find the booking, we were offered a table for lunch straight away. Fois, wine and service was amazing, as ever!

   The Reading room was one of our favourites but we were very disappointed by the Christmas menu and in particular the blab Turkey main dish to the point of making us rethink whether we want to try this place again

   The restaurant was very quiet and the service was great. Staff very attentive. The food and drinks were good but a bit overpriced for what we had.
