The Red Door San Diego is committed to offering our guests sustainable and responsibly sourced farm-to-fork dishes. We proudly serve contemporary Italian and modern European cuisine with the freshest locally grown and handcrafted products available. We also feature delicious and unique ingredients from around the world. Chef/Owner Luciano Cibelli shops daily, personally selecting every item we serve. He bakes fresh breads, rolls, desserts and all of the pasta in house (including a special Gluten Free Bucatini) and he develops his menus in rhythm with the seasonal San Diego harvest. Enjoy nightly special offerings or a house favorite, Beef Wellington. Join us for the highly rated cuisine and return for the charming ambiance and excellent service behind the Red Door.

The food was absolutely amazing, bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. Every dish was a delight, from the appetizers to the main course. The service was equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch food and exceptional service.

We have lived in San Diego for 4 years now and have tried many italian restaurants. We made the choice to celebrate Valentine’s day here and it has snuck its way into our top spot in terms of Italian in San Diego. The food was amazing, Ryan was our server and was super helpful all night and to top it off the owner and head chef Luciano brought our food to us, shook our hands, and continued to check in on us. A 10/10 experience with great food and amazing natural flavors across the board. We will be back plenty!

This place was recommended by a friend and it exceeded our expectations! There were 6 of us and were seated at a high top in the bar area. There was a gentleman playing piano behind us which was lovely. The service was awesome, the food absolutely delicious and fresh and the icing on the cake was the owner/ chef, went to each table, introduced himself and spoke about the specials. You can tell he is passionate about his customers and serving the highest quality food. I would highly recommend this restaurant❤️❤️❤️ Ps…. The short ribs were to die for!

We had a wonderful evening. Our waiter, Kevin, was a gentleman, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The food, prepared by Chef/Owner Luciano, was absolutely delicious, and the soft, live background music created the perfect ambiance. This is a must-try experience! We have been meaning to check out this restaurant for a while. We happened to be in the area so decided to reserve and go. Love the easy availability on open table and the peace of mind of guaranteed seating. The food was good however the price was outrageous especially for lunch. $65 for beef wellington, $18 for an appetizer was just too much. Service was great and the restaurant was not at all busy, maybe because we went around 2:30pm on a Sunday. The tiramisu and cappuccino were delicious. Overall, it was just ok
