   Nice atmosphere, great drinks, good service and quality food, however the entrée prices are too high for a hotel restaurant… especially given that vaudeville is two doors down. Every main course was $50+ which is going to be a problem long term.

   The Restaurant at Albert just misses the mark. Drinks- mostly wine menu which makes sense because it is Fredericksburg. Zero mocktails on the menu. Food- very puzzled by the 4 and 5 star reviews. We were brought a complementary amuse-bouche, nice gesture but most people at our table did not finish it. It was a cold potato ball stuffed with chicken liver mousse. Liver is a pretty polarizing food so we thought this was a strange choice. Very limited menu which makes you think, cool, everything is going to be very seasonal and tasty. Our table ordered several of the $60 Wagyu steaks, cooked medium-rare, and had to saw at the meat to cut it. Wagyu should melt in your mouth and we felt like this dish was falsely advertised. On the side were approximately 3 unseasoned Brussels sprouts per plate. One person in our party had a string attached to her steak. Service- very friendly but seemed a bit chaotic. Entrees came out before silverware, drink mix-ups, and entrees described only after we had already ordered them. The restaurant did make up for the overly chewy and flavorless steaks which we appreciated. Vibes- semi cute but something missing. Like others have commented you are in the hotel lobby. The low ceiling and lack of artwork are not a match for the vibe the restaurant seems to be trying to curate Overall a disappointing experience, and our night ended at a nearby pizza place because we left hungry. It seems like this restaurant would do better if they leaned into being a hotel lobby restaurant and served gourmet burgers, seasonal salads, and other easier fare instead of selling overpriced food that is trying to be fancy.

   This restaurant is definitely new and dealing with issues related to getting started. Value overall definitely low. Food not as advertised (rack of lamb was not a rack of lamb), undercooked, and took a long time to receive. Also not very good sharing appetizers or bread options. Server seemed a bit put out when we asked for things or expressed our dissatisfaction. Has potential but management and chefs need to make some big improvements. For the price, the ambience was not that special at all. There are lots of other options in Fredericksburg so would recommend looking elsewhere for a while.

   Excellent service in a modern nice new hotel. Food good but not great but portions were small especially for the steep price. Drinks very good but fairly small and over priced.

   Maybe not ready for prime time? Staff struggled to explain some of the food and cocktails. Place has hotel lobby vibe. Tables were being cleared for the night while we still had plates (about 8:30). Food was interesting but not remarkable.

   This is an incredible gem of a restaurant in tiny Fredericksburg! A true Michelin rated chef with a challenging menu as well! We tried the Lamb Tartare…I have never had this before and it was absolutely amazing! The raw tuna was sublime! My husband had the duck and he said it was delicious. I had the snapper and it was superb! The pavlova was one of the best desserts I have ever had and I make my own! My husband had the panna cotta and he loved it! I am so glad we found this gem while visiting Fredericksburg, and we will definitely promote it. I can’t wait to return!

   Called the restaurant before booking a reservation on Open Table, was told by front of the house that they were fully committed..but went to Open Table and there were several reservations available, so we reserved a table. Upon entering there is just no ambiance, there is not any art on the walls, the decor is quite sterile.. local art would be great, or something that creates some warmth and comfort. We were greeted by our server, we ordered a bottle of wine, took about 15 minutes to receive it, was left in a chiller and the server turned and left. We decided to poor ourselves a glass of wine, 10 minutes later when the server returned he indicated that he had not served us a glass of wine because he wanted to chill the bottle first..the bottle should have been ready to serve and communication would have been appreciated. The wine was fine. We ordered the broccoli soup for an appetizer, it was served barely warm and lacked flavor. We ordered the lamb, it was so disappointing..mostly bone, very little lamb and the mint sauce was served underneath an undercooked square block of cabbage, made it difficult to get to the sauce, the whole dish was just poor quality. We hope things improve over time. There are several great restaurants in Fredericksburg with wonderful ambiance and food…both are equally important…I was surprised that servers were wearing matching striped shirts,but all various shades of denim pants (blue jeans), uniforms are all part of establishing ambiance too. May try again sometime, but will opt to sit at the bar for a glass of wine and observe how things are going before committing to dinner reservations.

   The Restaurant at Albert was phenomenal! My husband got the duck and it was exquisite!! The Albert hotel is also very nice and new! Great location, right off Main Street! 10/10 recommend!!

    First time at the restaurant and I expected more from the decor and ambiance. Feels like a breakfast or lunch spot not a fine dining experience. Apps were very good and my duck entree was good but fussy. My wife had the wagyu ribeye. She ordered it MR but it came out M to MW. The temp was bad enough but what was worse was this 10 oz steak was no more than 1/4- inches thick! No wonder it was overcooked. Service was good but maybe they tried too hard.
