   We were excited about going here after all the reviews but didn't have the best experience. The prices of the dishes weren't reflected in the portion size or the quality. The oysters (the size of a 50c coin) and the gnocchi were bland, and the crab taco had no flavour and was extremely dry.

   Seafood was fresh but the execution of the menu / chefs were a little disappointing. In particular the scallops were wasted with the over powering sauce, prawns were little over cooked. Service was swift but little cold not very friendly. Not somewhere I am likely to go back to for the seafood experience given the cost vs standard. Maybe pasta if I was to ever return.

   Unfortunately we were completely underwhelmed. The food was just ok, flavourless and way overpriced. The salt and pepper mils were empty. Overall, extremely disappointing. We have been to the restaurant on a number of occasions and have enjoyed the food. We won’t be going back. The only good part of our night was the extremely friendly and attentive service from our waiter.

   I was hesitant to go here after seeing some recent one star reviews and didn’t have high hopes. How wrong they are! We were welcomed at the reception by very friendly staff who moved our table so we could keep an eye on our 12 yo son who was out fishing on the pier. The wine list was great and not overly pricey, and the food was superb! The service was excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back or bring friends and family here! Loved it!!!

   The Rocks is a regular for us. We lover the food, the atmosphere and the service. Gets a bit noisy if the curtains are down on the balcony

   We found this spot via google and the pics online did not do The Rocks justice. This was by far one of the nicest seafood places we have ever been to. The staff were fantastic especially the lady that waited on us. Her customer service and commitment to the quality of the restaurant was amazing. Mussels were amazing. Best ever

    We had a disappointing evening on Thursday. I ordered mussels as my main course as I have in past visits to The Rocks. The dish was so incredibly salty that I mentioned it to the staff member when I paid my bill. I was told, "we don't add salt to that dish. The mussels come directly out of the ocean and the salt content comes from there." I find this unbelievable as I have never experienced such salty mussels at The Rocks or other Restaurants. I spent all day Friday sick due to the salty mussels and am still unwell today, being Saturday. I have been dehydrated and unable to eat much due to amount of salt in Thursday's meal. We will be giving this restaurant a miss in the future.
