We are dog friendly and children are welcome until 6pm.

Delicious plates of various Parmo - a food that should be banned for its heart attack inducing content, but thankfully isn't. Sadly the equally delicious widow-making chicken with waffle wasn't on the menu this week, but dirty fries helped with the disappointment. Luckily Guys is only across the road so we risked it all and did have the brownie as well. Apparently they do salads, but such goodness will never touch my lips at this excellent pub! Lovely staff, fabulous playlist on the speakers and great selection of drinks. We sampled a few of these too. Just go, and wear loose clothes.

The tables are big enough with comfortable sofa, thus 4-6 people can sit even under Covid restrictions keeping distances with other tables. The capacity is not big so the level of noise is fine. You can have dinner and drinks with convenience. The food menu is fine for a pub and the food is tasty and delicious. Staff is friendly and ready to serve you. Great cocktails as well and fair prices!

Really enjoyed the Rose, great atmosphere. Great service and location. I had the Roast Beef it was late in the afternoon and for me the meat was really overcooked. I also don't like when they add cauliflower cheese to the plate and not as a side. However I did enjoy the meal. My wife had the Burger which was really nice.

Quite expensive for a casual lunch. £17 for a burger and chips. £11 for a glass of wine. Quality of the food was OK by pub standards although not generous.

I’ve been to the Rose many times. It’s where my friends and I always meet when central. Food is fantastic as are the staff. The only small complaint I could make is that we were sitting near the door so there was a cold draft every time somebody opened the door which took longer than usual due to the track and trace app but really that can’t be helped and I would 100% recommend this pub.
