The venue was busy and very noisy. The roast lamb was bit chewy. Icecream was lovely. Staff friendly.

Haven't eaten here for some time indoors, we usually visit while out walking in the summer when it gets very busy. It was a shame to see it so quiet on a Saturday night, one of the few places where you get a good choice of craft and local beers and ales. The menu is quite small, but the quality of every item we ordered was very good and a pleasant change from the mass produced stuff sold in many pubs. Excellent, would thoroughly recommend on this basis

Excellent food, attentive and friendly service and huge range of draught beers, ales and ciders. A great restaurant masquerading as a great pub.

Beautiful pub, very cosy and welcoming. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend.

Great building nestling under the downs in a small village. We had the pub basic Fish and Chips portion size was good, not too large so you could think about a pud. And the Minted lamb pie, This was a little like Blind Scouse. the meat content was minimal and very little gravy. It was served with mashed potatoes which were pureed to a fine cream. No good for mopping up the gravy that should have been in the pie. Menu was very limited. Would I go again YES YES excellent beers and ciders. Possible a better pub for a summer lunch than an evening meal.

A lovely pub, everything good. Well worth a visit. I just think they should add some heat lamps to the outside area. It would make a massive difference!

Lovely food, parking can be difficult during busy times ( not there fault) relax atmosphere and it allows dogs inside which is fantastic. We brought our miniature dachshund along.

Service was chaotic. We often asked for things and they took a long time arrive. Staff were polite and friendly but there was a lack of organization to how they were operating.
