Visited today and was massively disappointed with the Beef roast dinner. The beef was overcooked and tough, the roast potatoes were undercooked/rushed, not crispy at all and rock hard in the middle. The mixed vegetables were average however the creamed leak was very good. The Yorkshire pudding was clearly frozen and really poor quality. And to top it off the gravy was like water and had to ask for extra just to be able to moisten up the beef or I could have possibly choked on it. We also ordered cauliflower cheese as a side and that was really good.

Decided to try The Ship as it has recently reopened in the village. My mum and I were pleasantly surprised by the standard and quality of the food compared to the price. We booked a table for 6pm on the Friday between Christmas & New Year. Understandably it was relatively quiet with only another couple of tables occupied but it had a good atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. What a great eating place in a small village. As a family we wish them every success and we will definitely be back.

Brilliant Christmas meal for family of 12. Food gorgeous, great service and atmosphere. Lovely small tpuches on table and enjoyed by all. Would definately recommend. Thank you!

Overall good experience. Staff were excellent albeit overworked and could have probably done with a few more staff to assist over the 18:30 - 20:30 rush period with food and bar. As a result of this although when received food was very good , service was slow, acknowledge by manager who gave us a discount on our final bill due to that inconvenience. Will be happy to return

Great service and food. Staff were extremely thoughtful as they had a supper with Santa that we did not know about, my daughter was very scared of Santa as she is only 2, so the safe moved us to an area that wouldn’t mean her seeing him. All the other kids loved Santa.

Lovely experience, spacious dining room with good sized tables and chairs. The meal was excellent with just the right portion size for us. Wish we had selected the festive menu after seeing other tables though but good excuse to go again. Overall excellent, thank you
