Since opening its doors in 2021, The Smoke Pit offers a casual dining experience, serving up authentic-style Texas BBQ in a buzzing and vibrant atmosphere. They pride themselves on using local, organic, and free-range produce and smoke their beef and pork products onsite in our mammoth off-set smoker for a minimum of 12 hours to ensure a superior quality and flavour profile in every bite. They also offer a fully licensed bar with a great selection of drinks. Can't wait to serve you up a true taste of Texas!

Well worth the drive out, great vibe, service, serving size. We got the feed for two and side of mac and cheese it was exactly what we wanted and needed.

The experience at smoke pit was excellent The service very good open on public holiday Melbourne Cup was very good The food was fantastic the taste out of this world the brisket was cooked to perfection Thank you again Smoke Pit we will be back ❤️

So disappointed with the food tonight, the brisket and pork ends were really dry. We ordered drinks and they didn't arrive until after the meal was finished. I've dined here a number of times and the food and service is normally great. When I made comment to one of the staff, I was told that'things' had changed recently. Very disappointed.

Owner/Management has remained the same since we opened our doors almost 4 years ago and we deeply regret that we missed the mark on this occasion. We agree unsatisfactory service and food quality is unacceptable and we are looking into the roster to understand who is responsible for your poor dining experience on the occasion of the 2nd Nov. Furthermore, we would like to offer you a voucher to the value of your meal on the 2nd for a return visit; please bring this to the attention of staff when you dine in. Sincere apologies.

Geeat food and plenty of it. We had the $50 all you can eat and I couldn't even finish the first plate. Service was fanatic and very helpfull.

We went to The Smoke Pit for the first time last night and it did not disappoint. We ordered the $50, all you can eat option and were deternmined to go back for seconds. There was so much food on each of our platters that we coud not eat any more. The range of meats on our platters was extensive and in abundance. Great ambiance, quick service and fabulous staff. Great place to eat. We'll be back. Mary

The place has amazing food, the food is so delicious we couldn't get out of the place and for that I can give it 5 stars. Big compliments to the chef. Unfortunately the service is slow and it's not exactly a restaurant, as you have to prepay before you eat, so for that I can give it 1 star. Also the tables are so close that you can not sit comfortably without the people around you bashing into your chair. It happens that the table next to us was a few young drunk boys and we couldn't even say or hear any words between us.

Treated great by staff, all you can eat option is a very generous value for money option especially if you are new to the food style allowing you to try a little of everything. Great little restaurant in the mist of Thomastown
