First time visiting this restaurant and booked it for 7 pm as a Valentine's dinner with my partner.
The dining room was nice. Simple layout but with plenty of space between tables.
We arrived bang on 7 pm and had a short wait to be seated.
We were seated by a gentleman, given a food menu, but no drinks/ wine menu, and told that he'd be back shortly to take our order.
We were left waiting for quite some time before one of the two girls who were waiting tables came over and asked if we were ready to order. We asked for the wine list, which was provided, and then asked if we would like a couple of extra minutes to decide on drinks, which we accepted. In hindsight, we should've placed our food order at that point, and then asked her to return for drinks, as again, we were kept waiting for some time.
Eventually, we were able to order our drinks, starters, and mains.
Water for the table was served fairly quickly, and our wine was not too long after. However, it took quite a while for our starters to come out.
The food was tasty, though the serving size of the starters was quite small for the price. Again, in hindsight, we should've asked for our mains to be started when our starters had arrived. We had the cinema booked for 9pm that evening, thinking that 2 hours would be ample time to eat. But the delays in serving time were making things look like we'd be running late.
It again was quite some time before our mains arrived. I had to go up to the waiting staff to ask them for an update on our food. But only a few minutes after I asked them to check, did our mains come out.
The food was again good. My only complaint was that the breading on my chicken Schnitzel was unseasoned. No salt was applied after frying either. But there was salt on the table. However, by the time mains arrived it was 8.45 pm, meaning we had to rush to eat our mains. Which was unfortunate.
I'd return again, but if service is as slow in the future, then I'd avoid a 3rd visit.
