The Stewart is an intimate bar-and-lounge in the heart of Easton, MD, with an unparalleled focus on the very finest of single malt Scotch whiskeys and vintage Champagnes. Upon entrance, guests are transported to a sphere of sheer refinement and spirit sophistication where one of the most impressive assemblages of Scotch in America is gloriously ensconced in the eloquent Federal Street enclave. An elegant evening progresses in an atmosphere of updated and distinguished Highland splendor: gleaming dark woods, handsomely refurbished period seating, gilt-framed oil paintings of Highland scenes, an intricately pargeted plaster ceiling, and, naturally, tartans galore. A crackling fire in the cooler months provides cozy ambient undertones within an 18th century walnut and brass trumeau chimney.

    Our dinner at The Stewart last night was wonderful. The fireplace is such a nice touch and the food and service were, as always, superb. A couple of new items on the menu; you can eat a hearty meal or go light. I had the cheeseburger and my wife had the chicken dish, both perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sweet corn emulsion with the chicken was just the right touch. One of our favorite places for a special occasion.

    Unique and charming dining experience. They put together a custom Scotch tasting for my husband which was fun. I had a fun Scotch based cocktail. Dinner was excellent. Our service was flawless and the ambience was charming and cozy. Loved everything about it!

    Like being in a cozy bar at a really posh hotel (think Claridges, or The Ritz). Go for the decor/ambience, attentive service, and artisanal cocktails. The food is perfectly fine, but not paramount to the experience. And it’s not JUST scotch and champagne—you can get an excellent martini here, too!
