The Study is proud to announce our participation in the 9th Annual Kinsman Brandy Alexander Tour with the launch of our Santo Nues Alejandro featured cocktail. A select number of bars and restaurants from across San Antonio are selected to participate in this annual event with each creating a unique take on the classic Brandy Alexander made with award-winning, locally distilled Kinsman Rakia. Celebrating the creativity of the local bar and culinary scene during the holiday season makes this a must-do holiday season tradition. The self-paced tour runs annually from Thanksgiving Day through December 31st. Reserve your spot today.

Trendy, upscale, and chill, the study at dean’s has quickly become my wife and I’s favorite Southtown bar. The drink service is outstanding; Winchester the bartender/mixologist walked us through the “chapter 1” drink menu of craft cocktails based on books, poems, and their authors. Going a step further he asked our drink preferences are recommended cocktails that we’d never heard of but will never be forgotten. The drinks also look as good as they taste, and make for a good video to capture the unique presentations. Definitely worth a visit for anyone who wants to impress a guest or for real fans of alcohol. The food options are limited to finger foods to accompany your drink but are also very well executed. Highly recommended 5 stars A+++

The service and drinks were absolutely amazing—top-notch quality and attentive staff made the experience enjoyable in those aspects. However, we were disappointed that smoking cigarettes was allowed indoors (this was not a garish for a drink). The smoke detracted from the ambiance. Additionally, the noise level was surprisingly loud, which didn’t quite match the intimate, speakeasy vibe we were expecting.

We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed our service and drinks, and we appreciate your kind words about our staff's attentiveness. We do want to advise that we are a non-smoking property. The "cigarettes" that you see are sage-based incense that we use as garnish on the "First Sip of Censorship" cocktail. They come in multiple aromas; I'm happy to share a link to the site we purchase from, if you'd like to read more on these. Made a bar top reservation. But didn’t have room or try and make room. Why have the option if you can’t accommodate. Drinks were okay , service was slow because one bartender “called in.”
