Another first class experience.
Marvellous ambience, lovely and warm, lighting dim and welcoming, staff friendly, professional, very helpful.
Meno was just right, exceptional sourdough bread and home-made tasty butter followed by a delicious Roast Shallot / Cep sauce appetiser, which led to some seared tuna that was served in a watercress / ponzu style we've never tried before but will certainly look out for again - it melted in the mouth and was gone all too soon. Wild Berry Duck confit followed, with pancetta and a raisin puree / cavolo nero. Simply marvellous, bursting with taste, had to restrain myself and chew deliberately slowly to prolong the moment. Finished with Quark Cake and then cheese, all washed down with a supernacular claret .
