We are a country pub situated deep in the heart of Sussex, supporting our community and local breweries.
Come and enjoy the finest ales, wines and spirits selected for quality, and excellent food created from fresh local ingredients proud to support local suppliers the village butcher and venison from Warnham Park
Please let us know if youre bringing a dog , as you will be seated in the bar
We have been in the Good Beer Guide for over twenty years in a row, which equates to over a million pints of Good Beer!
We hold the CASK Marque Award for quality, and even prouder to support our nominated charity - the Sussex Air Ambulance.
So, pop in, come and say hello if you are passing, or enjoy some well deserved refreshment at the end of one of the many beautiful walks in the area. Large car park

Have put a review on Tripadvisor. We were not impressed. We had looked up reviews for this pub , which were favourable. Our experience was anything but. The pub was cold. The only warm area was the nook where the fire was lit.. Our order of 2x fish and chips plus 1 steak and mushroom pie took 45 minutes to arrive. Twice I asked the staff to chase our order as later arrivals were being served before us. The food was uninspiring. We had booked, the pub was only a third full, so excuses, Such as we are busy, short staffed, just do not wash. Such a pity as we had looked forward to meeting up. We shall not visit again

Good food and friendly service. Very nice starters but the fish was a little dry. One of ou party was vegetarian and didn’t feel there was much choice

Service and staff polite. Food very poor, basic and not particularly tasteful. Sorry won’t eat there again.

With one of our partty disabled and one needing gluten free, we found the whole experience very good. Food was excellent, good size portions and value for money.

Had a lovely lunch with friends we go on holiday with and I have to say it was a brilliant 3 hrs Staff food service all A1 👌👍👏
