The Tavern Underground, the lower level of The Carlin, introduces a tastefully designed, modern-meets-casual take on classic American tavern culture.

We offer limited reservation availability up to 8pm, along with bar seating and tables that are always available first come, first serve. If you're not finding a reservation or have a special request, please call us for assistance, 970-771-3795.

                                Ambiance, amazing cocktails, but most of all great service. Dale mixing the drinks and the rest of the staff made this spot we will be going back to many more times!

                                We had a great experience at the Tavern. We were grabbing some drinks and apps before our reservation upstairs at the Carlin and it was hard to leave. The ambience is very appealing, it’s a comfortable space with great food and exceptional cocktails. Our server Sam was very kind, did a great job of explaining the menu and gave great recommendation’s. Definitely don’t miss out on an opportunity to eat/drink here!

                                Husband and I went here for Happy Hour - We had Dominque as our server, she was very attentive and super sweet. They have drink and food specials from 4pm - 5pm which was awesome. For drinks I got the Cosmo Kramer and IT WAS awesome, probably one of the best craft drinks I have ever had. Food was just spot on, yummy, perfectly cooked. This space has a really cool vibe, so we will be back for sure.

                                Everything was great! We showed up with 13 people, knowing it may take awhile, but Sam did an amazing job getting everything right out and the food was great!

                                This was our first visit; it won’t be the last. They can make any drink; the hummus was spicy & delicious. The tomato soup w/ grilled chess was upgraded comfort food. The burger was large & tasty. Sam I am was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

                                this was our second visit to this wonderful restaurant. Just like the first time, the food was delicious, the service was excellent and the ambience was really nice. This is now a regular place for us to go and to take visitors. I highly recommend the Cajun french fries, they’re incredible.
