    Welcome in 2025 with us. A New Year’s Eve Feast with a sumptuous 3 course dinner and Coates & Seely English Sparkling wine. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our First Floor Dining Room followed by live music in our Ground Floor Bar to finish the party in style. This experience price will be £60 per person which includes a welcome glass of Coates & Seely, 3 courses plus access to the party afterwards. A discretionary service charge will be added to the final bill on conclusion of the meal. Open until 1am.     Launching Cubitt House Eats With Series 4, The Thomas Cubitt welcomes award-winning author, digital creator and low-waste chef Max La Manna for episode 1 of our 2024 series. We've also teamed up with Symposium Spirits to provide a welcome drink to tantalise the tastebuds. This feast is located in the main restaurant, around shared dining tables. Tickets are £75 which includes a three-course menu including a welcome drink and a signed cookbook. Additional wine flight available on the day. A discretionary 15% service charge is applied to the final bill.

    We booked upstairs which is usually very civilised, but they texted me on the day, having confirmed the day before that we would be upstairs, to say it wasn't;t open and that we would be in the bar. We were very disappointed, as the bar is very noisy and service is terribly slow due to lack of staffing, (possibly why they didn't; open upstairs). It's a good place and if you can eat upstairs very enjoyable, with reasonable good, but avoid the terribly noisy bar at all costs. It's terrible if you have a group of friends and can;t hear each other talking..

We apologise for not promptly communicating to you that the upstairs was not available in the evening, but during this time of the year, as we have a lot of reservations, it is really hard to keep up with all the requests and grant all of them, thank you for your understanding, and we hope this will not stop you from visiting us again in the future.

    Always a pleasure to dine here. The team are welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous... Doing little things to enhance our experience. You wont be disappointed

    Lovely food, lovely atmosphere etc but let down by awful toilets. It’s not clear which is the gents and which is the ladies, plus when you get in there, they don’t look like they’re checked regularly and there was a broken seat too. So disappointing.

    Dear, Rachel. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by our toilet service; unfortunately, while we are painting the walls, the signs have been removed and will be reinstalled very soon. Similarly, we apologise for not putting up an out of order sign while the ladies is being repaired. Best regards

    Not enough staff as it was very busy. We have always loved the service 2 members of staff were particularly rude One basically told us we needed to hurry up so the next customers could sit down - the problem was we had placed an order and had been left waiting for ages The staff really need to try smiling I have been here many times but not sure if this will be my last visit due to the surly service. Shame as the food is great.

    Decent pub and only a short walk to the station. It’s got a nice feel about it and a good selection of food & drinks.

    After looking forward to the Sunday roast for a few weeks after booking, it was somewhat disappointing to find, that the roast dinners irrespective of what you ordered were served with only two types of gravy. For example a lamb gravy or a beef one. I chose the roast chicken because I do not eat red meat. There was no chicken or vegetable gravy available. Because of this I would not visit Thomas Cubitt again.
