I have never had to write a review like this, but frankly I believe that management needs to know about our experience, and frankly, I wish I had payed attention to the prior negative reviews. We were happy to get reservations to eat after the October 19th Homecoming football game, and felt lucky because everywhere else was booked solid, and we heard about long waits to get into restaurants. When we arrived to a nearly empty restaurant, that was our first clue. Part of our group ordered and received drinks (soda and tea) while others were in the restroom. Once we all were seated, we waited and waited for someone to take the rest of our drink orders, and we were ready to order food. Finally the manager came over to us and asked if we would be okay moving to a different table, since we had been placed at the largest table, and a larger party had arrived. We happily moved, then were ignored while wait staff took drink orders from the larger group. Finally we got the attention of a staff member and asked if they could take the rest of our drink orders, as well as our food orders. A kind waitress came to take our orders and promptly brought drinks. Finally, over an hour after we arrived, our food was delivered, only to find that 4 of our 7 orders were barely warm. The kind waitress was quick to take the dishes back, saying that was unacceptable. Shortly after that, we heard a cook yell in complaint about having to take the blame. It took at least another 15 minutes our hot meals to be brought out. The food was moderatley acceptable at best. The shredded pork was very dry. Our daughter said the food at Forrest Dining Hall was better. In the end, only the waitress apologized. Our drinks (non-alcoholic) were not on the bill, but truly I would rather have had an honest apology for the poor service than financial reimbursement. Needless to say, we will not be back!
